An accident at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at U.S 73 – K-7 and Hollingsworth Road resulted in an injury.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Cadillac CTS was making a left turn from southbound K-7 onto eastbound Hollingsworth Road.
A Nissan Xterra going southbound on K-7 could not slow down and swerved into the median, the trooper’s report stated. After exiting the median, the Xterra struck the Cadillac in the rear, according to the trooper’s report.
A 43-year-old woman from Leavenworth, Kan., driving the Xterra was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report. A 14-year-old girl and a 3-year-old girl in the car had a possible injury, the report stated.
The driver of the Cadillac CTS, a 64-year-old man from Lansing, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
