An accident was reported at 3:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, near the I-70 and I-635 in Kansas City, Kansas, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.
A Ford Focus was westbound on I-70 when a Saturn Ion approached it from behind, the trooper’s report stated.
The Ion struck the rear driver’s side corner of the Focus, then the front driver’s side fender, before driving off the right side of the road into a tree, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Ion, a 35-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the Focus, a 41-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had no apparent injury, the report stated.
