Temperatures on the rise today, high to be in mid-80s

Temperatures will rise a little today to a high in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

The temperature was 71 at 9 a.m. Tuesday. On Wednesday, temperatures will rise to around 88, and on Thursday, around 94, the weather service said. The humidity will increase Wednesday night into Thursday.

Increasing heat and humidity will lead to a chance of thunderstorms on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, according to the weather service.

A cold front will move into the area on Friday, bringing highs in the 80s for Saturday and Sunday, the weather service said.

Some of the storms could be strong to severe on Thursday into the weekend, producing strong winds and large hail, the weather service said. Heavy rain could be possible Thursday night.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 85 and a south southwest wind of 6 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 65 and a south wind of 11 mph, gusting as high as 21 mph, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 88 and a south wind of 13 to 17 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 75 with a south wind of 10 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph.

Thursday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 94 with a south wind of 10 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Thursday night, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, followed by more showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 77. Between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible.

Friday, there is a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 91.

Friday night, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m., with a low of 70, according to the weather service.

Saturday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 84, the weather service said.

Saturday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers before 1 a.m., with a low of 66, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 83, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 64, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be sunny, with a high near 86, the weather service said.
