KCK motorcyclist injured in hit-and-run accident

A Kansas City, Kansas, resident was injured in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday night on the northbound I-35 ramp to Lamar.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s crash log, the hit-and-run accident was at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday. The I-35 location was in Johnson County.

The Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Lamar when an unknown vehicle ran a stop sign at the top of the ramp and the motorcycle struck the right side of the unknown vehicle, according to the trooper’s report.

There was no description of the unknown vehicle.

The 63-year-old male motorcyclist had a possible serious injury and was taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, the report stated. He was not wearing a helmet.
