Fire quickly extinguished on North 34th

Kansas City, Kansas, firefighters today quickly extinguished a basement fire at 1528 N. 34th St., according to a Fire Department spokesman.

Crews were dispatched at 12:45 p.m. to the fire and reported brown smoke upon arrival, according to the spokesman.

The fire was located in the basement and quickly extinguished, the spokesman stated.

There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and the extent of the damage is still being determined, according to the spokesman.
