A man died from his injuries in an accident at 1:35 a.m. Sunday, March 28, in the 900 block of Parallel Parkway, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
The driver, a man in his early 30s, was eastbound on Parallel Parkway in a sport utility vehicle when it struck two utility poles and came to rest on its side, police stated.
The SUV first struck a utility pole in the median, then struck another utility pole on the westbound side of Parallel, according to the police spokesman.
The driver died from his injuries at the accident scene, the police spokesman stated.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Traffic Division is investigating. Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, police said.
