After receiving a dusting or less than an inch of snow on Monday night, Wyandotte County’s forecast calls for more snow tonight, with 1 to 2 inches possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Most areas will average about one inch of snow, the weather service said.

After a little snow last night, there could be slick spots on the roads, and drivers should use caution, according to authorities.

The system will quickly pull off to the northeast today and weaken. This will bring precipitation to an end across the forecast area by late morning.

A quick-moving mid-level trough that resides over the western Rockies this morning will move into the region tonight, the weather service said, allowing light snow to develop. It is expected to produce snow totals of a half-inch to two inches. The quick-moving system will exit the area by Wednesday afternoon, but it could cause issues for the Wednesday morning commute, according to the weather service.
