The ban on outdoor burning is in effect again today.
According to a Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department spokesman, all residents who have burn permits today are asked to refrain from outdoor burning until further notice.
The National Weather Service forecast for Nov. 3 indicates high winds for the majority of the day, causing a risk for outdoor fires.
Any resident whose three-day burn permit expires today may go to the nearest fire station to request a burn permit for whenever the burn ban is lifted, according to the Fire Department. Outdoor burn permits must be issued 24 hours before the three-day burn permit starts.
