2-year-old safe after being in car stolen in KCK

A 2-year-old boy is safe after being in a car stolen today in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

A woman fled in a vehicle with the 2-year-old male inside in the area of 26th and Wood Avenue, according to police.

The vehicle went into Johnson County, where the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the case, the spokesman stated.

They were able to get the vehicle to stop at 247th and Highway 69 south, the spokesman stated.

The child is fine, and the adult has been taken into custody, the spokesman said.
