Officers investigate suspicious package
An employee for a railroad arrived to work and found a suspicious package in the vestibule area around 6:19 a.m. Oct. 15 in the 4500 block of Kansas Avenue, according to a social media post from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The railroad requested the police department’s assistance, the report stated. The explosive ordnance disposal unit officers responded.
The officers used X-rays and a robot to determine the package did not contain any explosives, the report stated.
