A car struck the bridge concrete barrier at 1:38 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, on eastbound I-70 near the Park Drive exit.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Mitsubishi Eclipse was eastbound in the left lane of I-70 when the driver swerved to the right and crossed three lanes, hitting the bridge concrete barrier.
The 24-year-old driver, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, had a possible minor injury and was taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
