The victim of a homicide at 5:57 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in the 4400 block of Adams Street has been identified.
Luis Velasquez-Chavez, 15, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, was the victim, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department spokesman.
Police were dispatched to the address on a shots fired call, according to the spokesman. They found the victim, who was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, the spokesman stated. He was later pronounced dead.
No suspect is in custody at this time, police stated.
The homicide is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, police stated.
