The high will be in the mid-70s today through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

A cold front moved into the area early this morning, with high temperatures dropping from the 80s into the 70s, the weather service said. On Tuesday, the day that fall begins, high temperatures could rise into the 80s again.

Light winds from the north have brought drier air into the area, according to the weather service, and wind speeds will be around 9 mph today, helping to lift the fog in some areas this morning.

The Mid-America Regional Council skycast for Thursday is green, or good.

No rain is in the forecast, with rain chances very low in the long-range forecast, according to the weather service.
