Fire reported at Gates Bar-B-Q
A fire was reported at 11:40 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Gates Bar-B-Q restaurant, 1026 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
The Fire Department reported on social media that heavy fire and smoke was showing from the center of the roof when firefighters arrived. Firefighters took a defensive mode.
The fire was reported under control after 90 minutes, the report stated. The cause and origin of the fire was undetermined. Fire investigators were looking into the cause of the fire.
DUI reported on old Central Bridge
Officers conducted a car stop on a person who was parked on the Old Central Bridge about 1:11 a.m. Sept. 2 at North 2nd and the bridge, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The person in the car was passed out, the report stated. He was taken into custody and the vehicle was towed, according to the report.
