Traffic fatality reported near 49th and Parallel
Officers responded to an injury accident at 11:25 p.m. July 17 near 49th and Parallel Parkway and found that the driver was not breathing.
The victim was in the driver’s seat. The officers conducted CPR until EMS arrived. EMS advised that the victim was deceased, according to the report. Detectives, crime scene investigators and First Call responded to the accident.
Victim injured in argument over cell phone
A victim was injured in an argument over a cell phone at 3:56 p.m. July 17 in the 8100 block of Parallel Parkway, according to a social media post by the Kansas City Kansas, Police Department.
When officers arrived, they discovered the victim had been injured after the argument turned into a physical altercation with a family member, the report stated. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim stated he did not wish to pursue charges, according to the report.
