A homicide was reported about 9:21 p.m. Sunday, June 28, in the 4800 block of Wood Avenue, according to the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Police went to the location after receiving a call about a shooting. Officers found a man in his 40s with an apparent gunshot wound, a spokesman stated.
The victim was dead upon arrival, according to police.
No suspect was in custody as of Sunday night, according to police.
