A motorcyclist died in an accident about 7:39 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the intersection of West 39th Avenue and Merriam Lane, according to police.
The operator of the motorcycle was traveling east on Merriam Lane when he left the roadway and struck a building, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The operator, a male, suffered fatal injuries from the accident, the spokesman stated. No other vehicles were involved.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team is investigating the case.
