An injury-accident was reported at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 21 on I-70 near the Park Drive exit, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
A 21-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., was traveling westbound on I-70 when his Saturn Ion hit the rear of a semi, careened into the median and struck the barrier wall, the report stated.
The driver of the Saturn was injured and taken to the hospital. The driver of the semi, a 47-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man, was not injured, according to the report.
