A large truck wheel came from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes of I-435 near the Missouri River in Wyandotte County, causing an accident Sunday evening.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, the wheel came loose about 6 p.m. and crossed the lanes, and then hit a Toyota van and a Ford car.
The driver of the Toyota van, a 20-year-old woman from Fulton, Kan., had a possible injury and was taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
The driver of the 2014 Ford car, a 37-year-old man from St. Peters, Mo., was not injured, according to the report.
