Shooting reported on South 14th

A shooting was reported at 8:34 p.m. May 6 in the 2500 block of South 14th Street, according to a social media post from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot and had non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report. The person was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Victims stated an unknown person wrote a check from their account, according to the report.
