A convenience store employee was shot in the face during a robbery attempt about 3:53 a.m. Tuesday, April 28.
The attempted robbery took place at a convenience store in the 2200 block of Metropolitan Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a police spokesman.
Officers who responded found an employee who had suffered a gunshot wound to the face during an attempted robbery, the spokesman stated.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition, the spokesman stated.
No suspects are in custody, police said.
