At Fat Cats located at 411 N. 6th St. in Kansas City, Kan., a celebration happened this afternoon as the Kansas City Royals won the American League Championship Series and advanced to the World Series.

Fat Cats is one of many restaurants and bars that celebrated the Royals victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Owner Charles Cook, who goes by Chuck, said, “I think it’s awesome. They are definitely a great team and we will be cheering them on to victory. We have a drink called the ‘Royals Bomb’ in honor of the Kansas City Royals. We have this drink available when there is a game on, after the game that should be a lot of people here celebrating with us.”

Alexis Evans, who is from St. Louis, said, “I really think the Kansas City Royals can win the World Series. Even though I am from St. Louis I still cheer for the Kansas City Royals.”

Those attending this small celebration on North Sixth Street expected there to be a lot of celebrating going on throughout the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area in honor of the Kansas City Royals victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
