Cold weather ahead today

While snow was reported to the west and north of the Kansas City area, there was no snow visible in Wyandotte County this morning.

Temperatures reached a low of 35 at 8 a.m. Friday, and will only reach a high near 46 today, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

A slight, 20 percent, chance of rain is possible before 10 a.m. today in Wyandotte County, according to the forecast.

Tonight, there is another chance of a freeze, with a low temperature of 32 possible, the weather service said.

Rain is possible Saturday night and Sunday. The next chance of thunderstorms will be Wednesday, according to the weather service.

Today, there is a slight chance of rain before 10 a.m., then gradually becoming mostly, with a high near 46, the weather service said. There will be a north northwest wind of 8 to 11 mph.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 32 and a light and variable wind becoming south southwest 5 to 7 mph after midnight, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 61 and a south southwest wind of 9 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 22 mph, the weather service said.

Saturday night, there is a 30 percent chance of rain after 1 a.m., with a low of 45, according to the weather service. A south wind of 5 to 10 mph will become light in the evening, with new precipitation of less than a tenth of an inch.

Sunday, there is a 20 percent chance of rain before 1 p.m., with a high near 62, the weather service said. A calm wind will become north northeast 5 to 9 mph in the morning, and winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Sunday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 39, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 66, the weather service said.

Monday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 47, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 73, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m., with a low of 53, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers, with a high near 69, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers with a low of 49, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 73, the weather service said.
