The University of Kansas Hospital reported the first lab results indicate the patient currently in isolation does not have Ebola, according to an announcement this afternoon.
However, until a more confirmatory test from the CDC in Atlanta comes in the next two days, the hospital will keep the patient in isolation as a precaution, a spokesman said.
The patient showed up Monday morning at the hospital in Kansas City, Kan., after serving as a medic on a ship off the African coast. The patient is showing improvement.
