A shooting was reported about 5:42 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at the Argentine Walmart parking lot.
According to a news release from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department, a male victim was found with non-life-threatening injuries in the store’s parking lot at 2300 Metropolitan Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
He was taken to a hospital and was treated for superficial wounds, according to the news release.
The location of the store is close to the South Patrol police station at South 21st and Metropolitan.
A suspect fled the scene, but he was arrested a short time later, according to the news release.
A preliminary investigation indicated the incident stemmed from a personal, verbal exchange outside the store between the victim and the suspect’s spouse, according to police.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Detective Division is investigating.
