Unified Government Administrator Doug Bach has named Dave Reno the interim public information officer for the UG, according to a UG news release.
Former PIO Edwin Birch left last year to work for the Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools, and UG communications director Mike Taylor currently is focused on lobbying for the UG at the Kansas Legislature, Topeka.
Reno is the UG Public Works Department’s community engagement officer and will continue his responsibilities in the UG’s Public Works Department and also serve as interim UG public information officer. As community engagement officer for public works, Reno has previously handled media inquiries and events.
