After dense fog, temperatures to rise to 46 today

After some freezing fog on Monday morning, temperatures will climb out of the freezer and into the 40s this afternoon.

The dense fog advisory was extended until noon Monday. With the freezing fog, roads and surfaces may be slick, and visibility can be reduced, according to the National Weather Service. Motorists should use caution. The temperature was 26 degrees at 9 a.m.

The high will be near 46 on Monday, the weather service said. Dense freezing fog is possible on Monday, causing minor ice accumulations on elevated surfaces.

Light rain and drizzle will be possible tonight into Tuesday morning north of the Missouri River, according to the weather service, with minor ice accumulation possible.

Monday, patchy fog is possible before 10 a.m., the weather service said, with a high near 46 and a south southeast wind of 7 to 13 mph.

Monday night, there is a slight chance of drizzle before midnight, with a low of 31, according to the weather service. A south southeast wind of 7 to 13 mph will become west after midnight.

Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 45, the weather service said. A west northwest wind around 6 mph will become light and variable in the afternoon.

Tuesday night, there will be increasing clouds, with a low of 35, according to the weather service, and a light and variable wind.

Wednesday, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 47, the weather service said. A light and variable wind will become northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Winds may gust as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 21, according to the weather service.
Thursday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 37, the weather service said.

Thursday night, there is a 90 percent chance of rain and snow before 9 p.m., then rain between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., then freezing rain after 4 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 32.

Friday, there is an 80 percent chance of freezing rain before 9 a.m., then rain, with a high near 50, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 22, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 33, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 17, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 35, the weather service said.
