Wyandotte County and surrounding areas are under a winter weather advisory from 3:53 p.m. Sunday until 10 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
The temperature was 32 degrees at 4 p.m., and freezing drizzle and mixed precipitation are possible, the weather service said.
Residents should expect slippery road conditions in addition to slippery walking surfaces outdoors, according to the weather service.
Motorists should slow down and use caution while traveling, the weather service said.
