Week of clear weather ahead for holidays

A week of clear weather is ahead here for those who haven’t done their holiday shopping yet and for those who want to travel.

According to the National Weather Service, the highs will be in the 40s from today through Saturday, then in the 50s for Sunday through Tuesday, and the high will be 49 on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. No precipitation is in the forecast.

Today’s high will be near 45, melting some of the snow on the ground from last weekend.

A weather service forecaster stated that the forecast could change closer to Dec. 25, but at the present, calm weather with warmer temperatures are predicted. Precipitation chances could increase after Dec. 25, according to the weather service.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 45 and a south wind of 6 to 13 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 31 and a south wind of 8 to 11 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 47 and a south wind of 7 to 10 mph, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 28 and a south wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 47 and a calm wind, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 32, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be sunny, with a high near 51, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 35, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 55, the weather service said.

Monday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 39, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 54, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 38, according to the weather service.

On Wednesday, Christmas Day, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 49, the weather service said.
