Delayed start for KCK, Turner, Bonner Springs Public Schools Tuesday

The Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools will have a two-hour delayed start on Tuesday morning, according to a district announcement on social media.

If the child’s school usually starts at 7 a.m., school will start at 9 a.m.


If the school bus picks the child up at 6:30 a.m., the school bus will pick up the child at 8:30 a.m.


Schools will dismiss at the usual time, and all preschool classes are canceled, according to the announcement. For more information, see www.kckps.org.

The Turner School District also will have a delayed start on Tuesday.

The Bonner Springs School District also is on a two-hour delay on Tuesday. The district announced on social media that it is an effort to give roads a chance to clear up so students may get to school safely.

Elementary schools in Bonner Springs will start at 10:25 a.m. Secondary schools will start at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday. There will be no Head Start classes and no McDanield morning classes.
