Trash collection in Wyandotte County has been delayed a day because of the weather.
“With the current poor road conditions due to the winter weather and more snow forecasted for Monday morning, our primary concern is for the safety of our drivers and the public,” said Kelly Rooney, director of operations for Waste Management. “As a result, we are canceling collection routes for Monday, Dec. 16.”
Monday routes will be collected Tuesday, and service will be delayed for the remainder of the week. For example, Tuesday service will be collected on Wednesday, and so on for the rest of the week.
All route collections are anticipated to be completed by Saturday, Dec. 21, according to Waste Management.
