The victim of a homicide on Nov. 26 in the 5700 block of Parallel Parkway has been identified, according to a police spokesman.
The victim was Mustafa Mohammed, 16, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Police responded to a call about a shooting at 3:11 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 5700 block of Parallel, according to the spokesman.
When they arrived, officers found a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, the spokesman stated. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries, the spokesman stated.
The homicide is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau. Detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
