Kansas City, Kansas, police responded to a shooting on Thursday night in the 1400 block of South 50th Street, according to a social media post by the police department.
According to early information, an injury was non-life-threatening.

I retired and moved a year ago from that location to Fort Scott and all I hear is bad news
about Kansas City Kansas. I lived in Turner for over fifty years, had a great job and raised
a family. I feel so sad for the people living there now and hope somehow things will get better for them!
I also moved from KCK in 2007 after 37 yrs in the city.. Moved to a farm.. People still can’t get why we moved.. Maybe they never will..
