Temperatures may reach 59 today; arctic air could arrive Monday night

Temperatures may peak at 59 degrees today before a slight cool-down Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

There will be a slight chance for rain Thursday night in the region, but rain is not in the Wyandotte County forecast for Thursday, the weather service said.

After weekend highs in the 50s, temperatures will bottom out Monday night as a blast of arctic air moves into the region, according to the weather service.

Rain and snow are possible during the day on Monday, the weather service said.

Temperatures may drop to a low of 19 on Monday night, according to the weather service.

Today, it will be partly sunny with a high near 59 and a calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 33. A light and variable wind becoming north 10 to 15 mph after midnight, with winds gusting as high as 21 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 43 and a north northeast wind of 5 to 13 mph, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 28 and a calm wind, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 51 and a calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 42, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 54, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 37, according to the weather service.

Monday, there will be a 30 percent chance of rain before 4 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., then a chance of snow after 5 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 44.

Monday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 19, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 34, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 18, according to the weather service.
