Counterfeit currency reported

Around 9:02 p.m. Dec. 2 in the 2000 block of Hutton Road, a victim delivered a pizza to a suspect, who gave a counterfeit bill for the pizza, according to a social media report by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Aggravated battery and arson reported


An aggravated battery and aggravated arson case was reported around midnight, according to a social media post by the police.


The victim said a suspect struck the victim multiple times, then poured a chemical on the victim, according to police. Also, the suspect allegedly burned the victim’s hair and belongings of the victim. There were minor injuries, police reported.

Attempted burglary on 4th Street

An attempted burglary was reported at 4:35 a.m. Dec. 3 in the 1900 block of 4th Street, according to a social media post by police.


The victim said an unknown person tried to open his bedroom window while they were sleeping. The victim awakened and saw an unknown person removing the screen from his window, according to the report. The suspect fled when the victim yelled, the report stated.
