Slight chance of snow today and tonight

The forecast from the National Weather Service has a slight chance of snow today and tonight.

According to the weather service, there is a 40 percent chance of rain and snow today, then a 30 percent chance of rain and snow late tonight and early Saturday morning.

The temperature was 32 degrees at 8 a.m. Friday, with a wind chill of 26.

Scattered light rain is expected to move in early this afternoon, the weather service said. It may transition to scattered light snow shortly after sunset tonight.

The light snow should exit the area early Saturday morning, the weather service said. A dusting to half an inch is possible tonight.

Slick spots on roadways could affect the evening commute today, according to the weather service.

The next chance for rain, with some snow possibly mixed in at times, will be Tuesday, the weather service said.

The forecast for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, will be a high near 49 with a 40 percent chance of showers, according to the weather service.

Today, there is a slight chance of snow before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow between 11 a.m. and noon, then a chance of rain after noon, the weather service said. The chance of precipitation today is 40 percent. The high will be near 40 with a north northeast wind of 3 to 8 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is predicted.

Tonight, there is a 30 percent chance of rain and snow before 4 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., followed by a slight chance of rain and snow after 5 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 32, with a calm wind. Less than a tenth of an inch of precipitation is in the forecast.

Saturday, it will be mostly cloudy through mid-morning, then gradually clearing, with a high near 45 and a calm wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 31 and a calm wind, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 55 and a calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 37, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 56, the weather service.

Monday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 37, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, there will be a 30 percent chance of rain, with a high near 48, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 29, according to the weather service.

Wednesday night, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers, with a low of 34, according to the weather service.

Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, there will be a 40 percent chance of showers, with a high near 49, the weather service said.
