KCKCC to offer flu shot clinics in October

Flu season is just around the corner and Kansas City Kansas Community College is offering two free flu shot clinics.

KCKCC is holding two free flu shot clinics in October. The first is from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 8, and the second is from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 15. Both clinics will be in Upper Jewell on the KCKCC main campus, 7250 State Ave.

The flu clinic event is open to everyone who is at least 7 years old, while supplies last. It is sponsored by KCKCC, the Mother and Child Health Coalition and Walgreens.

Those who have insurance are encouraged to come to a flu clinic from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 1 in Room 3397. This date has been set aside for walk-in appointments. Individuals must bring a copy of their insurance card or be prepared to pay cash for the shot. The flu shot is $30.
