UG Commission to consider administrator’s review and industrial revenue bonds tonight

The Unified Government Commission is scheduled to consider the administrator’s review in a closed, executive session after the 7 p.m. meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21.

According to a meeting notice, the UG Commission will recess from the commission chambers at City Hall to the ninth floor conference room to consider the administrator’s review. That part of the meeting will not be open to the public. Last Thursday, the UG Commission went into a closed meeting to discuss the administrator’s review.

At 5 p.m. Nov. 21, the commission is scheduled to meet in the fifth floor conference room at City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., for a legislative program and dinner.

On the 7 p.m. Nov. 21 agenda for the UG Commission, meeting at the Commission Chambers on the first floor of City Hall, is a public hearing for issuing industrial revenue bonds for the PQ Corp., continued from the Nov. 14 meeting. PQ is planning an industrial expansion at 1700 Kansas Ave. in Kansas City, Kansas.

Also on the UG agenda for Nov. 21 is a presentation about the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s 2020 budget and marketing plan, and a resolution to adopt the CVB budget. The CVB has total proposed revenues and expenses of $1.5 million.
