A victim told police that a suspect pointed a handgun at him during a verbal argument, causing him to fear for his life. The suspect left before officers arrived.
Domestic battery reported
A domestic battery case was reported at 1:01 a.m. Monday, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. A victim said that during a verbal argument, the suspect became physical with her, according to police. The victim had minor injuries, and the suspect was taken into custody.
Attempted robbery reported
A victim was meeting with suspects to sell a phone, in an attempted robbery case at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 200 block of South 18th, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. One of the suspects sprayed mace at the victim and tried to run away with the phone, according to the report. The victim recovered his phone and notified police. The victim was treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene.
Unknown suspect shoots out windows at unoccupied business
A shooting into an unoccupied building was reported at 1:24 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 1200 block of Central Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. An unknown suspect drove past the business and shot out a window, the report stated. The same vehicle returned a short time later and shot out a second window, according to police. There were no injuries.
Burglary reported at home on Freeman Court
An aggravated burglary was reported at 10:25 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 2700 block of Freeman Court, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. Victims said an unknown suspect approached their residence and demanded to be allowed inside. The victims did not let them enter. The suspect broke a window and forced entry through a door, taking property from the residence, according to the report. The suspect then got a handgun from his vehicle and threatened occupants of the home, according to the report. The suspect fled before police arrived. There were no injuries. The incident is under investigation.
