The Unified Government is planning a ribbon-cutting from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 24, for Leavenworth Road improvements.
The ribbon cutting will be at 5233 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas.
Mayor David Alvey, UG commissioners and staff are expected to attend. The public is invited.
The ribbon-cutting celebrates the completion of the first phase of the Leavenworth Road improvements, with the second phase to follow.
The first phase included improvements on Leavenworth Road from 38th to 63rd streets. New sidewalks, curbs, gutters and pavement were added.
