Firefighters responded to a fire at 10:34 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 2430 N. 119th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
According to the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department spokesman, one firefighter was taken to the hospital after suffering a minor back injury.
When crews arrived at the single-family home, they saw flames showing from the roof, according to the spokesman.
The firefighters initiated an attack on the fire, but crews were called out of the structure to continue a defensive fire attack, the spokesman stated.
Several hand lines were used while fighting the fire.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation, the spokesman stated. Estimated damage to the property was $150,000.
