Weather: Southwest winds may gust to 29 mph

Today’s weather will be windy, according to the National Weather Service, with gusts up to 29 mph possible.

A brief warming trend will take place today, as temperatures will reach 60 degrees today and 65 on Wednesday.

Besides today’s windy weather, no other hazardous weather is expected this week, the weather service said.

A cold front will move into the area late Wednesday, and rain is possible on Thursday, according to the weather service.

Thursday will be much cooler, with a high of about 50, the weather service said.

The Missouri River above Parkville currently is below minor flood stage, and in action stage, according to hydrology reports.

Today, it will be sunny with a high near 60, the weather service said. A south southwest wind of 5 to 10 mph will become west northwest 12 to 17 mph in the morning. Winds may gust up to 29 mph.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 43 and a southwest wind of 5 to 7 mph, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 65 and a west southwest wind of 7 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 41, according to the weather service. A calm wind will become north around 6 mph after midnight.

Thursday, there is a 30 percent chance of rain, the weather service said. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 50 and a north wind of 6 mph.

Thursday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 34, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be sunny with a high near 55, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 38, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny with a high near 62, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 44, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 63, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 41, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 58, the weather service said.
