Democratic candidates for local offices on the Nov. 5 general election ballot will be the speakers at the Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Las Islas Marias, 7516 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
The breakfast buffet opens at 8:15 a.m., with the program starting at 9 a.m.
Candidates who may participate are Democratic registered voters. They may bring signs and literature to distribute.
Candidates for the Unified Government Commission will have 4 minutes and other candidates, 3 minutes, to speak.
The program is open to all Democrats. The cost of the buffet is $10; students and those on limited income, $6. Those attending do not have to purchase a breakfast.
Reservations for the buffet should be made to [email protected] by Friday, Oct. 18. Reservations are not necessary to attend. A sponsor can pay the costs of students attending the breakfast for the first time.
