Gaming revenues down slightly at Hollywood Casino

Gaming revenues were down slightly in September at the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.

The revenues at Hollywood Casino were $11.8 million during September 2019, according to Keith Kocher, director of program assurance and integrity for the Kansas Lottery. He made his report at the Kansas Lottery Commission meeting on Wednesday.

In September 2018, the gaming revenues were $12.22 million at Hollywood Casino, according to lottery reports, and gaming revenues were $12.01 million in September 2017.

Kocher said September was a challenging month for all four state-owned casinos in Kansas, because there were four Fridays and Saturdays in September, as compared to five Fridays and Saturdays the previous month.

According to a written report to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, Hollywood Casino saw only a two-tenths of one percent decrease in slots revenue, while it had a 28 percent decrease in table games revenue during September.

Hollywood Casino is looking forward to NASCAR weekend at Kansas Speedway Oct. 18-20, with races scheduled Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon at the speedway, according to the report. It has events such as a $75,000 giveaway on Oct. 18 and a “party on the patio” on Sunday scheduled in conjunction with the Speedway races, according to the written report.
