Today’s high will be near 63, according to the National Weather Service.

A cold front will move into the region today. A small chance exists for an isolated storm today in the central part of the region, but most areas will stay dry, the weather service said.

No hazardous weather is anticipated outside a potential lightning strike, according to the weather service.

Widespread showers and storms may return for Saturday and Sunday, the weather service said.

The Missouri River at Parkville, where the gauge is on I-435 over the Missouri River between Wyandotte and Platte counties, was in minor flood stage on Tuesday morning, according to the weather service. The Kansas River at 23rd Street, where the gauge is near Kansas Avenue at the state line, was below flood stage and below action stage.

Today, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 63, the weather service said. A north northwest wind of 8 to 16 mph will gust as high as 28 mph.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 38 and a north northwest wind of 8 to 11 mph, gusting as high as 21 mph, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be cloudy, then gradually clearing in the afternoon, with a high near 57, the weather service said. A north northwest wind will be 7 to 9 mph.

Wednesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 41 and a light and variable wind, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be sunny, with a high near 67 and a calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 51, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high of 72, the weather service said.

Friday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers after 2 a.m., with a low of 53, according to the weather service.

Saturday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers before 8 a.m., with a high near 70, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 52, according to the weather service.

Sunday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers with a high near 73, the weather service said.

Sunday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 53, according to the weather service.

Monday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 63, the weather service said.
