The Kansas, City, Kansas, Women’s Chamber’s annual Purses with a Purpose is coming up from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Kansas City Kansas Community College’s Dr. Burke Technical Education Center, 6565 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
Proceeds of the fundraiser will support the Kansas City, Kansas, Women’s Chamber scholarship program for nontraditional women students.
The cost of the event will be $20 per person, including, food, wine and a specialty drink.
There will be auction items and prizes.
The event will feature guest speakers, Deborah and Mary Jones of Jones BBQ.
