Suspect shoots at victim, hits vehicle

A victim told police that a suspect began shooting at the victim about 9:22 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in the 2300 block of Ruby Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The victim’s vehicle was hit twice by gunfire, the victim said.

The suspect left the scene before officers arrived, according to the post. No injuries were reported.

Reports of aggravated assault, criminal damage and shot fired near North 30th

A victim reported that an unknown suspect approached her vehicle, wielding a gun and knife in the 300 block of North 30th and near the 400 block of North 29th at 10:37 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, according to a social media post by the police.

The suspect stabbed the victim’s tire with his knife, according to the report. Then the suspect confronted a neighbor, began yelling and pointed a gun at him, and the neighbor feared for his life, the post stated.

The suspect then fired a gun into the air, and fled the area before officers arrived. No injuries were reported.
