Kansas City, Kansas, police have identified a homicide victim who was found shot on Sept. 1 in the 5900 block of State Avenue.
The victim was Maurice Hunter Jr., 30, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, a police spokesman stated.
Police responded to the report of a shooting at 2:08 p.m. Sept. 1. When they arrived, they saw a man in the street with apparent gunshot wounds, the spokesman stated. Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department personnel also responded and confirmed the victim was dead as a result of his injuries.
The case is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
