Shooting at vacant home reported at 62nd and Arcadia
A shooting at an unoccupied dwelling was reported at 12:26 a.m. Aug. 2 near 62nd and Arcadia Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. Officers responded and found the empty residence damaged by gunfire, with a nearby unoccupied vehicle at 62nd and Nebraska Avenue damaged by gunfire. There were no injuries, according to police.
Robbery reported on Nogard
An aggravated robbery was reported in the 6000 block of Nogard Avenue at 2:35 a.m. Aug. 2, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. Armed suspects forced entry into a residence, fired shots and removed property before fleeing, according to police. There were no injuries.
Abuse case reported
At 2:59 a.m. Aug. 2, a child victim reported that a family friend sexually abused him, according to a social media post by police.
