Aggravated robbery reported
A victim was robbed at gunpoint at 11:15 p.m. July 31 in the 900 block of South 74th, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. The victim’s vehicle was struck as the suspects fled. Police took the suspects into custody at another location.
Residence struck by gunfire
A residence in the 2000 block of North 9th was struck by gunfire about 12:29 a.m. Aug 1, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. An unoccupied vehicle also was hit. There were no injuries.
Battery case reported
Aggravated battery was reported at 12:44 a.m. Aug. 1 in the area of 65th and Valley View, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. The victim had a laceration to the forearm; the injuries were not life-threatening.
Commercial burglary reported
A commercial burglary was reported at 1:45 a.m. Aug. 1 at James and Central Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. Equipment and tools of value were taken.
